Long Range 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch with 4 PoE+ Ports and DIP Switch

The Edimax GS-1105PE is a Long Range 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch designed for using at home, or small and medium sized network environments. With 4 DIP switches, the PoE port can be manually set with the ON-OFF control to extend the PoE delivery distance to 200 meters or further. It also support port-based VLAN and QoSfunctions.
In addition, it easily connects and supplies power to PoE-enabled devices such as wireless access points, network cameras and IP phones as well as other Ethernet-enabled devices such as computers, printers and network attached storage (NAS). The device's compact size, fanlessand wall-mount metal casing design make it an ideal solution for expanding home and small business networks.

PoELong Range Extension
The built-in solid DIP switch provides long range extension operations, with the status ON, the GS-1105PE operates on a per-port basis at 10Mbps duplex operation with supported PoEpower output over a distance up to 200 meters, overcoming the 100 meters limit on Ethernet UTP cables. With this feature, the GS-1105PE provides an additional solution for 802.3at/afPoE distance extension, thus saving the cost on additional Ethernet cable installations.

Port-based VLAN, Port IsolationThe GS-1105PE features port-based VLAN where ports can be isolated from each other via the DIP switch number 3. This can help to prevent IP camera’s multicast or broadcast storms from affecting each other.

Hardware QoS
Supports 802.1p QoSvia DIP switch number 4. This ensures first priority for video and voice trafficfor reduced package loss, lower latency and jitter on the network.

Power BackfeedProtection
Each port is equipped with power backfeedprotection to avoid damaging the PoEports while the non-standard PSEs (Power Sourcing Equipments) are connected

Surveillance Mode
The unique Surveillance-mode is ideal for surveillance networking environments. Switching all DIP switches to “on” enables Surveillance-mode, which gives PoE+ data extended transmission distance, Port Isolation and QoSon the GS-1105PE. When using video surveillance systems for homes, businesses or institutions, the Surveillance-mode provides better speeds for multicast viewing and easier installation.

PoEAuto Detection
With PoE auto detection capability, the GS-1105PE is able to verify whether the connected device is IEEE 802.3at/afcompliant. In the event that a PoE device is not detected, only network data will be transmitted through the LAN cable to avoid being damaged by incorrect power sending.
